Our work on dielectric resonance based optical sensor design has been published in “Optics Express”

Our work on “Engineering multimodal dielectric resonance of TiO2 based nanostructures for high-performance refractive index sensing applications” has been accepted for publication by Optics Express. Optical metasurfaces based sensors find applications in chemical, environmental, biomedical, and food processing industries.

Our journal paper on breaking of polarisation-bandwidth trade-off in dielectric metasurface has been published in “Nanophotonics” (IF=7.491)

Our recent paper on “Breaking polarisation-bandwidth trade-off in dielectric metasurface for unpolarised white light” has been published in Nanophotonics journal.

OSA and SPIE student chapters at ITU conducted a Workshop on “Modeling and Simulation of Semiconductor based Optical devices on SILVACO”

The Optical Society (OSA) and SPIE student chapters at ITU, in collaboration with IEEE APS/ MTTS/ EMC Islamabad Chapter conducted a Workshop on “Modeling and Simulation of Semiconductor based Optical devices on SILVACO”
at Microwave and Communication Lab ITU, Electrical Engineering Dept (4th Floor), Arfa Software Technology. The workshop was exclusively focused on the detailed introduction of SILVACO TCAD simulator followed by implementation and coding of semiconductor structures for different devices. Teaching Fellow Mr. Haris Mehmood from Information Technology University of the Punjab ITU, Lahore was the key speaker.

Dr Muhammad Zubair has presented NanoTech lab’s recent work on  metasurface absorbers at the PhotonIcs & Electromagnetics Research Symposium also known as Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium PIERS 2019 in Rome, Italy, 17-20 June, 2019.

The title of his paper was ‘Design of a Fractal Metasurface Based Terahertz Broadband Absorber’, and the paper was co-authored with Dr Qasim Mehmood and Amna Zubair (Research Associate).

Dr. Muhammad Zubair (PI) and Dr. M. Qasim Mehmood (Co-PI) won a research grant under Higher Education Commission-Technology Development Fund (HEC-TDF) for the period of 2019-2021.
