Ammar Rafique (Ph.D. Scholar)
Ammar Rafique completed his BS in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore in 2015. He then joined the MS Electrical Engineering program at NUCES Lahore and graduated in 2018. His thesis was on machine learning-based automated fault diagnosis of synchronous machines, which heavily relied on simulation tools. In Fall 2018, he joined as Visiting Faculty Lab Instructor position at NUCES Lahore which he continued for 2 semesters. In 2019, he joined the Ph.D. program at ITU as a full-time Graduate Fellow. At Nanotech Lab, under the supervision of Dr. Zubair and Dr. Qasim, he has been working on reconfigurable metasurface antennas, with the help of various EM simulation tools.
