Dr. Muhammad Mujeeb-U-Rahman (Assistant Professor)

Dr. Rahman’s work is focused on developing low-cost, salable sensor technologies for widespread use in healthcare. Specifically, he is developing nano scale designs and corresponding fabrication schemes that allow for extreme miniaturization and simplification of sensor footprint. He has 6 years of hands-on fabrication experience. His team is developing low-cost healthcare solutions for developing world. This includes a portable ventilator for use in remote and low-resourced clinics, a continuous temperature monitor for critical care patients and an infusion pump for accurate drug dosing for such clinics. In an effort to build low-cost systems, they are exploring use of innovative techniques to build low-cost and yet reliable sensors for such critical healthcare solutions for developed world.
